Zurich Multimobil 2012 – Zurich goes green

You’ve probably seen the posters plastered all over Zurich this week – but what exactly is  “Zurich Multimobil”? It’s a series of over 70 activities taking place in Zurich from the 19th – 23rd September to show how mobile you can be in Zurich without needing a car.

The city of Zurich is highlighing these days of action as part of its contribution to “European Mobility Week” and to address the following questions:
Can you live in Zurich without a car?
What happens when there is no more oil?
How fast and easy is an E-bike to use?
All sorts of ideas and suggestions are on hand to look at ways of making Zurich more enviromentally friendly and Multimobil hopes to make you think about the part you can play. There are free bike tours with music and entertainment as well as free bike hire with Zuri Rollt, information about e-bikes and help for pedestrians an commuters alike. And please note that the centre of Zurich will be closed to cars all day Saturday 23rd September. For more information please click here. Freestyle.ch Next Weekend 22nd and 23rd September in Landiwiese, Zurich

Freestyle.ch is the largest freestyle sporting event in Europe and it takes place in Zurich next weekend from the 22nd – 23rd September. There will be top international stars performing daring tricks on their snowboards, freestyle skis, FMX bikes and skateboards and there will be plenty of action.

Lots of new products and equipment will also be available to purchase at event. It all takes place at Landiwiese and for more information please go to the Website. Tickets for the event can be purchased at the Tourist Office, at the main station in Zürich.
