Hopefully the ski resorts around Zurich will be full of snow soon. But if you can’t wait until December when the resorts typically open up, why not try glacier skiing in Saas Fee?
During the months of October and November they run their “Swiss ski tests” where you can test out skis and snowboards for the coming season in the Allalin snow sports area. In addition to the ski pistes, you can also use the Kingdom Snow Park, equipped with a half-pipe, large and small lines of kickers and various rails.
There are a number of special offers running at the local hotels with hotel accommodation, lift pass and special ski and snowboard testing all included – for more information click here. The ski or snowboard testing alone costs just CHF 55 for two days, allowing you to test out any new model of your choice from a good selection. A great idea to try out different models if you’re thinking of changing skis or snowboards too.
Freestyle.ch is the largest freestyle sporting event in Europe and it takes place in Zurich next weekend from the 22nd – 23rd September. There will be top international stars performing daring tricks on their snowboards, freestyle skis, FMX bikes and skateboards and there will be plenty of action.
