Spotlight Zumikon

Today we’re taking a look outside Zurich for a change and covering some interesting events taking place in 8126 Zumikon over the next couple of weeks.

Florita Flowers Zumikon, Florists

On Monday 19th November there is a Vernissage at Florita, the florists in the Dorfplatz in Zumikon highlighting all the special Christmas decorations, wreaths, flower arrangements and more to help make your Christmas really special.  The “Adventvernissage” takes place in the shop itself from 4pm – 8pm.  Why not pop by for a spot of inspiration?

Andre Beccio, Galerie Milchhuette Zumikon

On Wednesday 21st November Andre Becchio is presenting an exhibition entitled “Objekte in Holz”, “Objects in Wood” at the Galerie Milchhuette in Zumikon from 6pm until 8pm and on Thursday 22nd there will be the “Finissage” of the exhibition from 6pm – 8pm. For more information.

On Saturday 24th there is a Christmas wine tasting event at the Triangel Restaurant in Zumikon from 11am to 4pm organised by Real Wines.  Admission is free.  Why not drop in to sample a glass or two?

On Saturday 24th November and Tuesday 27th November there are “Young Engineers” trial workshops taking place at Gymboree in Zumikon aimed at children aged 5 to 10 years old helping them explore engineering, physics and maths in a fun environment. For more information

ICS Christmas Market Zumikon

On Thursday 29th November there is the annual ICS Christmas Market taking place in the Gemeindesaal in Zumikon Dorfplatz from 11am till 6pm.  There will be a raffle, tombola, stalls selling jewellery, clothes, cookies, cakes and more.  Most of all there will be an amazing selection of presents for all the family.  Don’t miss this great event! Free entry and everyone welcome! All proceeds will be going to two charities: the the SMD School in Nepal which gives an education to children from villages in the Himalayas who would not otherwise receive one, and to Sozialwerke Pfarrer Sieben which works with the homeless and vulnerable in Zurich.
