Some more views of the Mercedes Benz Fashion Show at Schiffbau this week… The following photos are from the “Homage to Youth” – the Young Designers Collection and from designs by Barabara Bui and Claudia Zuber, Laend Phuengkit and van Bery. There were five young Swiss designers competing for the Annabelle Award to study fashion in Paris and the award was presented by Paul Mitchell to Julia Winkler.

Mercedes Benz Fashion Days Zurich: Lauren Hutton, MGSM, Marco de Vincenzo, Mila Schön, Angelos Bratis, Laurel and Pegasus
Last night’s fashion show for the “Mercedes Benz Fashion Days took place at Schiffbau in Zurich. It featured designs from MSGM di Massimo Giorgetti, Marco de Vincenzo, Mila Schön, Angelos Bratis as well as Laurel.
Lauren Hutton, the American model and actress was present as one of the VIPs in the audience and was interviewed during the show looking fabulous and radiant, telling everyone that her looks were down to the “good men” in her life!
Elisabeth Schwaiger, who has been Head of Design for Laurel since 1995, was also present acknowledging the rapturous applause for the beautiful designs she was showing – simple, elegant and beautifully crafted.
Elizabeth Schwaiger also posed with the 16 year old British soul singer and TV presenter Dionne Bromfield.
MSGM di Massimo Giorgetti was first to show his designs, followed by Marco de Vincenzo and then Angelos Bratis who said that his inspiration amongst other things came from the Indie music he listened to. Mila Schön siad that her designs emphaised the femininity of women and featured many flowing designs with eye catching pattern and pretty colours.
Musical entertainment was provided by the Swiss band Pegasus from Biel who performed three of their numbers to an enthusiastic audience. A great band, they sang in English and seemed a very friendly bunch as they mingled with the crowd at the after the show.
