The 36th “Silvesterlauf” takes place in Zurich on the 16th December. You can either register online via www.datasport.ch or you can email firstname.lastname@example.org and request an “Einzahlungsschein” for payment. Registration via Einzahunsschein closes on 1st December and online on the 9th December – so you still have time to both get in condition and to register.
There are all sorts of categories you can register in – for example, father and child, families, mother and child, “I’m fit”, “Run for Fun” etc, etc! So find one that suits you and enjoy the run through Zurich. For more information (in German) click here.
The 5th annual Pink Ribbon Charity walk takes place on Sunday September 30th at the Letzigrund Stadium in Zurich from 12 noon to 5pm. It covers a distance of 4km through Letzigrund and along the neighbouring streets and you can walk or jog.
As well as being great fun, the Pink Ribbon Charity Walk also raises valuable funds for the Breast Cancer charity. There will be pink caps and t-shirts, a Zumba fitness warm-up, a photo shoot of a “human pink ribbon”, live music, food and refreshments and even a program for children. Men, women and children are invited to participate. You can register online until 12 noon on Thursday 27th September and also on the day at 12 noon.
How’s your running going? If you haven’t registered already for the Greifensee run you still have a chance! Despite the official register closing on 25th August, the “last minute register”, for which you pay a small surcharge, is still open.
