Last Day at the Gourmesse fine food and wine Fair


Monday 8th is the last day at the “Gourmesse” fair at Burkliplatz.  If you haven’t visited and you’re passionate about good food and wine make sure you don’t miss out.  You can taste hams, cheeses (see below photo of Willi Schmid who makes award-winning cheese from Jersey milk) as well as wines, beers and champagne. Chef Rene Widmer demonstrates “cuisine sous vide” and there are demonstrations galore.

Gourmesse is also a place to find hard to source ingredients, gift items, kitchen accessories, gadgets and a show kitchen where top chefs cook up amazing dishes.The fair is open Monday 8th October from 11am till 8pm.
