Fancy doing your Christmas Shopping somewhere different? Why not try the Heiliger Bimbam Market? From the 7th – 9th December it will be at the Plaza with an array of local designer stalls, changing daily, and there will also be night shopping in districts 3 and 4 with concerts, exhibitions, readings and tastings and plenty of Gluhwein on offer.

As well as the main Christmas Markets in Zurich there are lots of local Christmas Markets and craft fairs taking place in towns and villages across the whole of Switzerland. On Thursday, one such Christmas Market taking place in Zumikon, was the annual ICS Christmas Market at the Gemeindesaal, this year raising money for two charities, Pfarrer Sieben and SMD school in Nepal.
There was deep snow underfoot and it continued snowing for most of the day, but despite the “white weather” the show went on with choirs of children singing, a soloist, tomobola and a wide vriety of stalls offering tempting home made cakes, biscuits, amazing curries, British cheese, Italian olive oil, pearl and silver jewellery, shoes, books, childrens’s clothing, crafts, scaves, bags and much, much more.
