 Aura Restaurant Zurich

Aura

A new restaurant and event location opened last weekend in Zurich called AURA right in the centre of the city close to Paradeplatz at Bleicherweg 5. Aura is not just a restaurant but also a unique event venue for birthday parties, graduation parties, conferences and events. It has fabulous lighting capabilities, 360° projection and an enormous event area measuring 480 m2. It also incorporates a night-club and a cigar bar. If you are in town this coming weekend why not give it a visit as they will be having their grand opening party on Saturday 26th January from 11pm – 4am. Tickets CHF 30 . And if you’re booked up this weekend, or off skiing in the mountains, why not try it for a Valentine’s Day treat on February 14th? They have a special evening planned from 6.30pm onwards with dinner, show and drinks with a variety of ticket combinations available.  For more information visit their website.

Caritas Secondhand im Viadukt

If you speak German, (or are learning it?) why not go along to another event happening this week in Zurich.  Caritas charity shop in Viadukt, Bogen C in Zurich, which incientally must be the poshest second hand shop in Zurich, is hosting a reading by Joannes Vogel of the aptly titled “Kleider machen Leute” (clothes make the man) by Gottfried Keiler. There will also be musical interludes as you browse through the racks of ‘pre-loved’ clothes, shoes and accessories in this very elegant boutique situated under the arches in the Viadukt. The evening takes place this Thursday 24th January starting at 6.30pm. What a great way to shop whilst supporting a charity at the same time. For more information visit their website.
