You’ve probably seen the posters plastered all over Zurich this week – but what exactly is “Zurich Multimobil”? It’s a series of over 70 activities taking place in Zurich from the 19th – 23rd September to show how mobile you can be in Zurich without needing a car.
The city of Zurich is highlighing these days of action as part of its contribution to “European Mobility Week” and to address the following questions:
Can you live in Zurich without a car?
What happens when there is no more oil?
How fast and easy is an E-bike to use?
All sorts of ideas and suggestions are on hand to look at ways of making Zurich more enviromentally friendly and Multimobil hopes to make you think about the part you can play. There are free bike tours with music and entertainment as well as free bike hire with Zuri Rollt, information about e-bikes and help for pedestrians an commuters alike. And please note that the centre of Zurich will be closed to cars all day Saturday 23rd September. For more information please click here. There is also an English section on putting pedestrians first if you click here. On Sunday there is also a free film showing at 19.30 at the Literaturhaus, Limmatquai 62 62, 8022 Zürich for more information click here.
